Tieban Shenshu (鐵板神數, also 鐵版神數) names fate-calculation methods notable for number generation and indexed statements. Identifiable texts exist; their existence does not establish the validity of their predictions.

Attribution and edition

Sunyata’s 2021 facsimile of Zhangzhongbao Tieban Shenshu labels Shao Yong as the traditional attributed author and identifies its source as a Qing manuscript with a key table. This supports a copy-specific statement, not proved Song authorship or a universal origin date. The publisher also notes differences from other circulating editions. Edition description.

Statement counts, volumes, keys and conversion methods therefore require edition references. This page does not establish a single founding lineage or universal northern/southern algorithm.

Rectification and checking

Some practices use known family information to select candidate times or statements. That is a matching procedure, not automatic recovery of a true birth minute. Distinguish information used for selection from information withheld until afterward.

If parental zodiac signs select a matching statement, those same signs are not fresh prediction evidence. Fix the method before assessing unused information, and retain mismatches. Combining traditions is not itself an error; the steps and provenance should be explicit.
