Sanshi Yanqin Gushu (《三世演禽骨书》) should be introduced through identifiable copies. Kyoto University’s record RB00018150 describes four printed volumes and provides images. This does not make every similarly titled Sanshi or Yanqin book the same work. Kyoto copy.
Attribution and edition
Kyoto’s author field names Yuan Tiangang and includes a Qing marker incompatible with the historical Tang figure. Such catalogue data requires checking; it must not be copied as proof of either Qing or Tang authorship.
Taiwan’s National Central Library union catalogue records a distinct Yanqin Sanshi Xiangfa whose cover reads Sanshi Yanqin Gushu and Yushutang. It dates that printing to 1788 and locates the original at SOAS, University of London. Those details describe one edition, not the origin of the entire tradition. Union catalogue record.
